Today, we are exploring Paris, a very beautiful city with lots of Culture.

Yes, I know that we are in a time of Covid-19... But we can dream of our future destinations, can't we ?
Why is Paris such an interesting place ?
Paris is a very large city (more than 2 million inhabitants and 12 millions with the suburbs) crossed by the famous river “La Seine”. Its emblematic monument is... the Eiffel Tower, of course ! It was built by the engineer Gustave Eiffel who has given his name to the building. Its nickname is "300m-tower" because it is more than 300m high. It is situated in what we call the “Champ de Mars”, a very big public square. The Eiffel Tower has elevators to look at its different wonderful views of the city ! 🤩
The cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris is also well-known for its architecture and history. In 2019, it suffered a bad fire which has destroyed a part of the building. All the world was moved by that event. In April 2019, renovations started and the monument has been closed since. Even if you are not allowed to enter, you can look at its frontage as it remains admirable !
Not very far from the cathedral, there is an other symbol of French culture: the Louvre museum which is the biggest museum in the world. There are many areas to explore: Archeology, Art... and the very famous Mona Lisa or "Joconde" among other remarkable pieces of Art.

La Joconde
The pyramid of the Louvre is the entrance to the museum and is famous for its impressive structure made of glass and iron.
There are so many things to see in Paris... Maybe my favorite place is the borough of Montmartre as it is a place dedicated to artists and writers. You can also have a look at little charming shops. And don't forget to sit in a café and to have a croissant !☕🥐 I am pretty sure that you can already feel the atmosphere of Montmartre !
After this break, I would recommend visiting the Basilique Sacré Coeur and to eat a ham and butter sandwich, you know for French people, it is very important to eat ! 😉

A bientôt ! See you soon !
