👩🍳 France = Gastronomy 🍽

How can we speak about France without thinking of its Gastronomy ? It is clearly impossible !

Our country has wonderful meals ! We are going to look at some of them (but in fact, there are lots more!! )
Wine 🍷
French wine is internationally well-known. Chinese people for example buy lots of bottles each year, for their own consumption. But what makes our wine so good ?
Well, it seems that the variety of soil and climate is an important point as it gives a special taste to the grape. That’s why, depending on the region, you will discover different types of wines.
Among the most famous, Champagne represents the sparkling wine we drink for a special occasion, to celebrate something. The wines of the regions of Bordeaux and Bourgogne are also remarkable : taste them if you can ! 🍾

2. Cheese 🧀
There are so many that I could not give a full list of them ! I haven’t tasted all myself !
We should do a cheese tour of France ! 🚴
I am sure you have already heard about « camembert » or « roquefort » , haven’t you?

Camembert comes from the North side of France (Normandie) whereas Roquefort is from the South. Like we said for wines, each cheese is different because of the climate conditions of its region.
They are smelly but try them, they are worth it ! 👌
3. The variety of food 🍐🍎
I think what makes France an exceptional place to eat is because you have a lot of choices !
You can find :
- Fish
- Meat
- Cheese
- Vegetables
- Fruits
- Pastry...
And all of that, thanks to the producers, farmers, fishers… Thank you !!
This variety offers the possibility for Chefs to create and innovate constantly in our gastronomy.

We could add the meals of our departments of Outre-Mer as « accras de morue » or crude fish in Polynesia.
